How much does it cost to have your Fine Art photographed?
The first step in getting an art piece ready for Giclee or traditional printing is to get it photographed or scanned. Here are our basic Fine Art Scan prices. Note: Some projects don’t fit neatly into the little price boxes, so, before you make a decision, make sure you contact us to see if we can give you a price that better suits your budget!
What’s the Difference?
The Artist Package Art Scan is the full meal deal. The only thing that is an added charge would be corrections beyond matching the original – moving elements around, radically changing colors, removing signatures, Mirroring edges for wraps, you get the idea… anything that appreciably
departs from your original.
Standard Art Scans are designed for projects where the client is quite sure they haven’t a need for a larger file . Perhaps the client only has authorization to create a promotional postcard, ad, or small promotional poster. In that case, going with the less expensive option is a reasonable choice. Keep in mind that all color correction, sizing, color conversions (RGB to CMYK, for example), proofs, etc. will incur an extra charge. So make sure you will be happy with what the industry calls “Pleasing Color.”
